It’s a project that tries to unify the current translation efforts around the open source community. Me and some friends of mine have started the development part of this project basing our objectives around Ismael Olea’s proposal. We’re trying to develop a global common specification that covers the whole translation process so we will be able to work together with other projects currently available. When we think there’s enough consensus, we’ll begin a reference implementation, which will be available as a library that will offer a lot of possibilities, such as web services, building a standalone application, build an online translation website, etc.
I started it wishing to overcome some limitations of the po4a system and being a little frustrated about the lot of projects out there that try to do the same thing and don’t interoperate, so they’re limitated to a very specific field.
I expect it will give a boost to the current status of the translation tools in the free software world. I hope it will be able to offer professional-level features. Only time will tell

It’s a free software project that tries to ease the translation of documents and other kinds of resources using gettext tools. My contributions to this project were an enhanced building system based on Module-Build, charsets support and some new modules to support XML documents and derivatives (DocBook XML, Dia, …). I’ve been away from this project while trying to focus on L10N.net, which will hopefuly surpass it.
Within Catux we had the idea to develop an USB based Linux distribution, so we did it. In 2004 we released the initial 0.1 release. We’ve learnt a lot since then, and we recently restarted the project it from scratch taking a different approach.
I’m involved in the development of the build system of the new releases (which is the base of the distribution). It’s based on the Debian distribution. We want to make it available for various platforms (it’s currently available for x86 and we’re working towards ppc), and highly customizable.
Gentoo Linux Ebuilds
I’ve contributed various ebuilds (po4a, ftgl, …) to the Gentoo Linux distribution.
Translations
I’ve translated some small free software projects into catalan and spanish.
